Analyzing sandwich panel with new proposed core for bending and compression resistance

Sandwich panels are used in many industries for their lightweight compared to high strength. Most of the sandwich application bending and compression, which relies on core type panel. Widely additive manufacturing is pyramid cell cores. In this article, two new cores, reinforced model C-half circle model, proposed replace pyramidal verify advantages disadvantages with respect it compression bending. The comparison was done ABAQUS simulation. A semi-analytical method as well experimental tests were carried out numerical simulation ABAQUS. results have been validated, difference remains below 10%. According simulations, deformation skin half panel decreases by 15% while deflection 26% However, most effective absorbing allowed make impact insulation.
